Baron Hervé Pinoteau (France)

Artist: Michael Medvedev, GHA[R]

Arms of Hervé Pinoteau (b. 1927), the outstanding historian of French chivalry and nobility, one of the most prominent members and Vice-president of the International Academy of Heraldry; Honorary President of the French Vexillological Society and Honorary Member of the French Society of Heraldry and Sigillography.

His ancestor got the title of baron of the First French Empire in 1815. In 1862 the title was confirmed by Napoleon III.
