The coronet corresponds to the rank of a provincial center; supporters (rare elements in the Russian municipal heraldry) – are also allowed as an attribute of this rank (dexter: the Siberian Cossack, and sinister: the aboriginal archer). Note the uncommon turn of the bear’s head: he greets sunrise - Anadyr is a capital of the ultimate North-Eastern region of Russia. Adopted by the city on October 14, 2006; registered by the Heraldry council on December 16, 2006 (No. 2025).
